EV CHARGING

RIVIAN

EMERYVILLE, CA | 2026

This service center for Rivian in Emeryville converts three adjacent former industrial buildings into a 61,775-square-foot facility for servicing electric vehicles. Each building came with its own existing electrical service, so our crews handled distribution across all three as one coordinated scope: installing owner-furnished transformers and panels, running new feeders and disconnects, and coordinating with PG&E on the new service tie-in.

Beyond distribution, the scope covered lighting and controls under a value-engineered package, power to mechanical and plumbing systems, low-voltage and tele/data rough-in, and installation of EV chargers. Fire alarm was carried from drawings and permit through construction. Field changes, including relocated controllers for the service-area ceiling fans, were worked in along the way. The result is one electrical system serving three buildings, laid out to support EV service operations from charging to lighting and life safety.
