Job Title: Foreman

Location: Bay Area

Reports To: General Foreman/ Superintendent

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises Journeymen electricians and apprentice electricians assigned to the crew. Responsible for assigning daily work, coaching employees, monitoring productivity, and ensuring safe work practices.

Position Overview:

The Foreman leads a field crew performing commercial and industrial electrical construction work. The position coordinates daily activities, ensures work is completed safely and according to plans and specifications, maintains quality standards, and communicates project progress to field leadership.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise daily activities of assigned electrical crew

• Assign work and monitor crew productivity to meet project schedules

• Install commercial and industrial electrical systems in accordance with project plans and specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical drawings

• Coordinate labor, materials, tools and equipment

• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations and company quality standards

• Conduct daily jobsite safety meetings and enforce safety policies

• Inspect completed work to verify quality and accuracy

• Train and mentor apprentice electricians and less experienced employees

• Communicate project progress, issues, and material needs to field leadership

• Maintain daily reports, time records, and production documentation

• Coordinate inspections and resolve field issues

• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and accountability

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Completion of State approved electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience

• Minimum five years of commercial or industrial electrical construction experience

• Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)

• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem solving skills

• OSHA 30 certification preferred

• Valid California Drivers License

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, generally 40+ hours per week. Overtime, weekends, and extended hours may be required based on project needs

Required Travel

Frequent travel between project sites throughout Northern California

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, work at heights, bend, kneel, crouch, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, safely navigate active construction sites, and wear required personal protective equipment.
