Supervisory Responsibilities

Provides direction and support to Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and project support staff. Coordinates closely with Superintendents and field personnel to successfully execute assigned projects.

Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for managing commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from award through closeout. The position ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards while maintaining exceptional client relations.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of assigned electrical construction projects

• Develop project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans

• Monitor costs, labor productivity, billings and profitability

• Manage contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

• Coordinate with field operations, estimating, purchasing, vendors and clients

• Lead project meetings and provide status updates to leadership

• Identify project risks and implement corrective actions

• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and company policies

• Identify project responsibilities, delegate phases and elements to the appropriate personnel

• Mentor project team members and promote continuous improvement

• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting

• Support business development and client retention efforts

• Successfully close out projects, including financial reconciliation

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred

• Minimum 5 years of electrical construction project management experience

• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction practices

• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts

• Excellent financial, organizational, leadership and communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft office and construction management software

• Valid California drivers license

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, generally 40+ hours per week. Additional hours may be required to meet project and business demands.

Required Travel

Frequent travel to project sites throughout Northern California, Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, walk, drive, climb stairs and ladders, work on active construction sites, wear required PPE, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
